In our junior year of high school, my best friend and I were sitting on my bedroom floor and we were hungry. We were two existential seventeen year olds seeking answers in any live performances we could get tickets to. There was a certain magic we found in individuals telling a story-be it through music, movement or words-and as individuals witnessing that story right in front of us. A fragment of time so personal yet shared.
We set out to unpack our own realities the best way we'd seen how: finding a space for people to gather, showcasing what we do and do not understand through live performance, and asking lots and lots of questions. We became theatre-makers.
July 31st 2017 was the opening night of our very first original musical
A Bullet for my Valentine at the Vietnam Youth Theater, after a year of production. Our second production is set for spring 2021. Through future works, we hope to spark interest and encourage bold exploration of the immense passion that theatre has fueled inside us; the absolute awe in the power of the stage and its audience becoming one.
